Hello,
I am looking for information on the pros and cons of using an impedance grounded Y connection for industrial facilities. I have never installed one of these and I'd like to know how this type of system will change the overall grounding (grid, equipment grounds, and bonding), and how it will affect clearing of small faults. I would assume that there is a book or an IEEE guide on these, but I have yet to find one. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Andy

Thanks. I have that, but it only has a couple paragraphs. I was hoping for a book dedicated to design of resistively grounded systems.

I'd recommend this:
Also, the folks who make grounding resistors generally have a lot of technical data available.

I'm sure you're aware of this - but you can't have any line-to-neutral loads. Not much else changes, except the electricians have to learn to be vigilant about tracking down ground faults (if we're talking about a high-resistance grounded low voltage system.

Thank you very much.

I don't see a file attached.
