I have to use Appendix Y for a calculation. I was wandering if there exist sample calculations to ease the forst contact with the Appendix.
I was wondering for example how to calculate H_C exactly.

Another question.

Whats the meaning of the theta values: slope of flange face at outside/inside diameter, resp.: change in slope which flange pair undergoes due to an unbalanced moment
(Y-3).

I can't picture myself the meaning of it.
