Hello all,

I have recently changed roles and have to transition from using Solid edge ST3 to Solidworks 2013. Most things are easily understood but one thing is really trying my patient.

In the SE Assembly environment, you can use the Properties Manager command to view, edit, and manage the physical properties for all the parts in the active assembly. This can be useful because you can view and edit the physical properties for all the parts at once, rather opening each part document to view and edit its physical properties. You can also cut and paste the contents to and from an excel sheet.

I was wondering if any ex-Solidworks users know how to do this as I cannot see how this can be done in Solidworks, is it possible to open properties in a table format and quickly add and change multiple parts in one place?

Cheers Mark

I think you can do it, but I've been out of practice with SW for a few years now... I found some threads over on the SW forums though:

I think you're looking for a Design Table, which is entirely possible. Since I don't remember too well how to do it, here's a link:

Thanks!

Experience: accumulated knowledge over time.

Talent: the ability to use experience.

Which is more valuable?

Why not try asking in the very active Solid Works forum?

Posting guidelines faq731-376 (probably not aimed specifically at you)
What is Engineering anyway: faq1088-1484

Thanks Enginerd9 - Design Tables seems to be the way to go

KENAT yes already have, its with a lot of cross users theses days I thought that someone with experience of both might be able to point me in the right direction
