Does any body know what the maximum rating is for screwed connections with a tapered thread? I have a pressure vessel rated at 900bar (1300 PSI) with 80mm wall thickness, 490 (70KSI) grade steel, with a ¾ inch NPT screwed connection. Is this likely to be OK? The vessel operates at room temperature.
