Hello New to the forums

I have been working on modeling a screw and have searched through here and used files from the directory to help learn how to do it but still have a few problems. I can't seem to get the tread to go all the way to the top. I've tried changing the swap profile but I can't seem to get it right. I will either be just short or it makes a hole through the top.

I attached the screw so If any of you guys have a chance to look at it I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Steve

Think about how such a thread would be cut using machine tools.

The threads never run fully up to the underside of the head of the fastener. They trail off to nothing or run off into a thread relief feature.

Helical sweeps can be made to trail off, but the other will need an additional geometry.

Seems to be created in a educational version of pro/E? post some pics instead!

I always do helical stuff with VSS and trajpar.
