Hi, Ive got a 3D IGES file, the problem being when I open in in pro E it is 1000 times bigger than it should be.

I have tried opening it notepad and changing the units but it doesnt seem to affect it (changing fields 14 and 15 in the G section). I have also tried to rescale it (changing field 13) but this just scales the vertical parts of the 3D model and leaves the horizontal.

I have attached the IGES file, the width of the board should be 30mm, how ever it is 30000mm. I am aware that this is because it is reading it in microns, not mm but how do I correct this.

Any help would be much appriciated,
Thanks,
Mark

Open the model in Pro/e then go to "Edit>Setup...". From the menu choose "Units". Select any unit system in the list and then click the "Set" button and select the option to "Interpret Dimensions". Once applied click on the "Custom" unit system and hit the edit button. Choose "micron" as the base unit for the system (not microns, but micron). Now set the unit system as custom again selecting to "Interpret Dimensions". Once applied choose your desired system, seems like you want mmKs, then select "Set", choosing this time to "Convert Dimensions".

Now remeasure your part, it should be 30mm. Let me know if you are still having troubles with it.
