Scale/weighing a rotating axis

Hi everyone,

I'm a process engineer at a flexo printing company, I was wondering if we could adapt a system of scales that weights a rotating axis.

The rotating axis is attached to a turret that flips when the roll is wound after printing, so I'm thinking about a tension scale that could be attached to the shaft. maybe?

I've never seen this before, though... any thoughts?
