Hi I am able to start a new blank.prt file and go to the drawing app and create a custom sheet and change some things like borders and layer catagories and so on then save the file
to a different folder to be used as a template file, then adjust the ugii_env.dat file to point to the folder as the default location where the pax,jpg and .prt files exist.
I can do this because in the drawing app there is a button in the drawing format toolbar to write the pax file and when you save the .prt file now in drafting app it saves alll to the folder and life is good.
So if I create a new blank.prt file and do not go to the drafting app where is there a button to save the pax,jpg and .prt file in the modeling app?

Thanks nx 8.5

There isn't one. If you want to create custom Modeling templates you will either need to replace existing ones or create your own set-up, which I've done by putting the .pax and .prt (templates) in the 'startup' folder in my 'user-dir'.
