Is there a way to save a configuration to a separate (unassociated) file? Thanks.

Did you create configurations manually, or use a design table to create multiple configurations simultaneously? If you created the configurations manually then just do a save as copy. If you created a design table then just run the design table in a new part.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience every time.

Save as a copy, then open, break any references and delete the unwanted configurations is the only way I know.

Configurations of an assembly or part? I don't know how to do this in one step, but it's easier if you want a configuration of a part than an assembly. Look for Save Configurations at As the name implies, it saves the configuration of a part/assembly in the same directory. For a part, run the macro, and delete the ones you don't want.

It is an ejector pin sleeve. (sldprt) With every size in the catalogue. I will try the macro. This might be what i am looking for. Thanks.
