Hello: I am a new member of this forum, i am from mexico. do you know if the port DP of the PLC S7 314C - 2DP is V0 or V1? this PLC is the step 7 series of Siemens

I don't know. If you don't get an answer here, give a quick call to the Siemens tech support guys. I find them to be very good and very helpful.

They're also patient when faced with "stupid" questions.

I haven't worked with these in a while, but I thought the 314 PLC just had 1 MPI port to connect with the PLC and download/upload and troubleshoot programs. It sound like there are 2 ports on yours, is that true?

I haven't used that CPU, but I have previous experience with S7-315 DP, -316DP & -318 DP ... and in those CPUs, one way to know that is when the hardware is configured through the Simatic Manager ... usually 0 is the default number for the MPI port and 1 for the profibus-DP ... give it a go. There are also plenty of documentation (e-manuals & help topics) in the Simatic manager and in the siemens support site:

Else, call your supplier or directly to Siemens support.

Espero que esta informacion te sea util ...

Buena suerte,

Saludos,

CPUs with order number 6ES7 314-6CF01-0AB0 (firmware 2.0.0) and newer are DPV1. I'm not sure about olders.

Jacek

Do it right or don't do it at all.

V0 MPI Port
V1 Profibus DP Port
