Hello,
I'm removing rust from leaf springs by electrolysis.
The spring is the cathode, the anode is stainless steel, the liquid is a 10% solution of sodium hypochlorite. 5 amp current for around 24 hrs seems to remove the rust.
The question is, is there a risk of hydrogen embrittlement to the spring and a subsequent cracking failure?
Regards George
