I need help to specify burst pressure and burst temperature of rupture disk. Operating condition of system: nitrogen compressed gas thru dia. 1" tube vessel working pressure 4500 psi. compressed gas supply pressure 2500 psi @ ambient temperature, 400 cfm. outside temperature -40F to 140F. rupture disk to be installed outside. I am planning to use 2" rupture disk.
Thanks you!

Hi,

The best advice is to contact a good manufacturer or supplier of bursting disc.

The accuracy and tolerance limits you can get from a bursting disc is depending on several things: type of bursting disc, material, pressure class and size, and not least the amount of money you are willing to spend, and the number of disc you are buying in the batch. Remember that at least 3-5 discs will be used as a batch-production test for each batch you order.

The pressure limits for the pipeline/vessel is given by the piping specifications. What is possible for a bursting disc (within the given limits you have) by the bursting disc producer.
