RS232 to RS422/485 converter

Hello there Im new here can anyone help me give me suggestion I have a Rs232 to Rs422/RS 48 converter can I use it to connect my laptop to program or make online to S5 PLC using 928B Siemens CPU because the cable Siemens part # 6ES5 734-1BD20 in very expensive I don't have the wiring diagram to connect it I need information to connect to PLC the RS232 to RS485/422 converter output signal is (+)TXD, (-) TXD,(+)RXD,(-)RXD how can I connect to 15 pin sub D connector on PLC Cpu to communicate with my laptop programmer
 
Siemens Rs232 you are referring to is the MPI interface. Even if you could do this conversion, the RS232 standard is different from the MPI interface that you are trying to connect.

Just bite the bullet and buy the cable.
