On a raft foundation we check for overturning moment, ground bearing pressure/stability and sliding.
I have the base forces, foundation size and assumed soil condition, does anyone look at rotation of the raft foundation? Or do we assume that since the capacity is satisfactory, no movement is experienced? However, in reality foundation does move a little doesn't it? If so, is there a standard way of calculating? or should we just use first principles to get the rotation (in degrees)?

It would certainly rotate a little since there will likely be some differential settlement, but if the settlement is ok, why be hard on yourself. If there is some special circumstance, OK, otherwise skip it. I do not normally check for sliding, but its very flat here. Your area must be hilly.
