I am in the process of creating pdf files of some drawings (dgn and dwg) using CutePDF. When I am in the plot dialog box the preview of the drawing looks fine. But when I open the pdf in Adobe Reader, the pdf is rotated. How can I fix it?

Also, any ideas on more productive methods of creating pdfs from dgn or dwg?

thanks!

If you're using Microstation, get IPLOT from Bentley or Intergraph or whatever it is these days. IPLOT has a menu-driven command called "Export PDF" that does virtual plots magnificently.

Also, spend th emoney and buy Acrobat proper, not just the free reader. The power to manipulate pdf's is worth ten times the cost (about $250 or cheaper on eBay).

I did figure out that if you use the "Print Border" option in the Print Attributes, then the pdf will orientate correctly.

I am going to look into IPlot.
Thanks for your help!

How do I access the "Export PDF" menu?

Use the pdf.set file that comes with microstation. It does a wonderful job even in 3-D.

Export .pdf is in IPLOT Organizer (sorry, if I didn't make that clear - it's more than just IPLOT), a separate program you can purchase from Bentley. It's generally worth the zillion dollars they charge.

the pdf plot file comes with microstation and is located in the Print Menu. There is a dialog box in the print window that asks for you to select a driver click on the magnifing glass and select the pdf.plt file.
