How do I calculate the moment of inertia of a rotated section? On wikipedia (don't have my text book with me) There is a big equation :
Ix* = (Ix+Iy)/2 + (Ix-Iy)/2*cos(2*theta) - Ixy*sin(2*theta)
What is the Ixy and how do I calculate it?
theta is the angle of rotation, correct?
THanks
