is there a step-by-step online resource for using the national standard plumbing code table 13.6.3 to calculate the min size of residential style roof gutters?
the table lists for example:
for a dia of gutter = 5"
the max projected roof area for gutters (@ 1/16" slope) = 625 sf and 26 gpm for a rainfall rate of 4" per hour.
so if I have a projected roof area of 22,700 sf (see attached) the typical roof gutter size would be what???
we've documented gutter sizing varying from 5" to 8" dia which does not seem to make sense....8" dia for a residential gutter seems too big....any suggestions?
