Hi,
This is a problem I've had the last few releases of NX: roles fail to properly save or load. I'm assuming this is a bug, but would like other users to confirm if they have the same issue since I couldn't find any posts about this particular problem.
Here is the procedure to reproduce the problem (native NX):
1. delete the user.mtx in C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Siemens\NX100
2. start nx. the default role should load.
3. create a new model
4. right click ribbon > customize
5. add a button to the View Shortcut Menu (eg. Suppress Component)
6. close the customize dialog
7. right click the display area to confirm that the button is added to the view shortcut menu
8. save a new role
9. right click the display area again to confirm that the button is still there (it is)
10. add a new component using Create New
11. show the assembly navigator
12. right click the new component, take note that the popup toolbar contains of 7 buttons
13. right click this popup toolbar > customize
14. add a button at the beginning of the Assemblies.Component popup toolbar (eg. Suppress Component)
15. close customize dialog
16. right click the new component to confirm that the new button is added to the popup toolbar
17. save a new user role
18. right click the display area to check that the new button is on the view shortcut menu (it is)
19. right click the new component in the assembly navigator to check that the new button is there (IT'S NOT!)
20. load the recently saved user role. The button still does not appear on the component popup toolbar, but appears on the view shortcut menu.
This shows that some customizations are saved, and others not.
I'm actually editing the mtx files in notepad to in order to 'force' the customizations I want, but even this is not straightfoward as NX seems to save the mtx files with minor inconsistencies.
Does anyone else have this issue, and are there any workarounds?
