Hi

I'm going to install a robot for welding applications.

Just because ProE has not a specific module for this

type of Off-Line Programming, I ask if anyone of you has an experiece
with other applications for robots programming.

I know RobCad, there are any other SW ??

Thanks

Pier

What kind of robot.. Fanuc, Motoman, ABB?

Kawasaki Robor for welding
Type Fa10L-FD40controller.

Generally speaking, I wonder if there are speialistic software for programming.
Thanks

We use Fanuc & Motoman; both have offline programming software. We use Fanuc's WeldPro. If you are doing small weldments with just a few welds, offline programming is great, but if you get into larger weldments I would recommend programming at the robot. No matter which way you choose, you'll still have to touch up program points at the robot.

That being said... Delmia makes software that works with many different robots. I've never used it & its very expensive.
