Revision table embedded in Sheet file?

Is it possible to embed or create a functioning revision table in the Sheet document? That way, when I have multiple sheets for my assembly, I just have to update the one revision table and the rest of the sheets are updated automatically.
It’s very time consuming having to make a revision change then go to each sheet and updating each revision table to reflect the change.
I've tied to copy the revision table from the sheet to the "edit sheet format" area, but with no success. I could try drawing my own revision table, but I have no idea what the codes are for each column.

Make your own rev table template and make it part of the dwg template. Look for templates in Help.

You can't keep multiple revision tables on multiple sheets linked.

Do you really need to have a complete revision table on every sheet? Why not have a common title block on all sheets but just include the revision table on the first sheet?

Create a different sheet format for use on the second and subsequent sheets which does not have the revision table.

Well typical engineering standards require all related sheets (drawings) linked to an assembly should all show the latest revision for each page, even if the change was done on page one, or 101. Each sheet should reflect that change done to the assembly.
Thus when we send the assembly weldment to the vender to be cut and welded, there are no confusions as to what revisions and/or pages they should be working to.

I just wish SW would allow me to insert the revision table in behind the sheet format (like the title block).

Typical stds show a table (block) on the 1st sheet listing the revisions of each sheet on the table. The sheet "set", or the whole doc, will go by the revision on the rev block.
This is also per military (DOD) stds.

Thats right. And that also applies to the aircraft industry.
Since we arn't that big (and don't generate stacks of drawings for one assembly) we replicate the revision table to each sheet. I just wish sw would let me input the default rev table on the same layer as the title block.

That would be a good enhancement request.

The best way that I can think to do it would be to use Custom Properties in the part and assembly files and link them to your templates. This will allow your models to maintain your revisions and also you will only have to fill in the information once.
