Hello,

I hope I am phrasing this question clearly.

I am looking to transition into the hydrogen industry, and one of the big players currently are fuel cell companies.

I am curious as to what process engineers actually do in these organisations. Assuming a company manufactures a container type fuel-cell power generator, I would expect a process engineer would be involved in the design of auxillary equipment, which would perhaps include pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, etc. But this is an assumption, I haven't been able to locate a spec sheet / P&ID of a fuel cell design.

So resident engineers who work/have worked for these types of companies, what do process engineers get involved with?

Thank you.
