Replacement Core for Latching Relay

I use a latching type relay for a faulted circuit indicator. When a high fault current is sensed the pulse magnetizes a core that pulls a latch down and turns an orange flag to indicate the fault. When power is restored the magnet is pulsed in a different direction to demagnetize the core. The core that is currently in use is a vacozet 258 magnet with a coercivity of about 26 Oe, but I am no longer able to get this magnet. Would anyone happen to know of a magnet at a reasonable cost with a coercivity similar to this.

Have you tried contacting Vacuumschmelze? Vacozet is their trade name. You may have to buy one melt's worth.

Switching to an alternate material can be done, but I doubt if there is a drop-in replacement available. It'll likely the geometry will have to change and it'll take a few iterations to find something that'll work.

Thanks for the help MagMike. Vacuumschmelze said that they could sell us a melts worth, but a melts worth would be a five year supply and way too much money.
