Im New... Im Crap...Im havent got the first idea how to model let alone render...lol but here goes : My first model using pro-e (ever).
This is an image of a door hinge I have used as my starter model in pro-e... I apologise for the dodgy colours... I have a couple of questions.
1. I rendered this using the standard package in wildfire 2.0 When I saved as a TIFF image, and inserted into photoshop for re-sizing, the room was not present ? Why ?
2. I have also learnt how to create datum planes ( difficult for a noob )...now I have learnt the skill of datums, when I created a xsec through the middle of my hinge, when I rendered it always renders the full image. I wanted to show you a section through so you could see my components. Wish me luck, I will try something else

View attachment 1389This was a chrome effect...lol sorry
View attachment 1390This is what happened when I rendered with the standard room effect. in photoshop the room dissapeared but you can still see the reflection in the hinge.
Hope they look ok, I have been using pro-e for a week or so now, I am finding the modelling quite easy, there is nothing in this hinge which is too difficult - it is all extrusions & cuts mainly. I have not started with surfaces yet, they look to complex for me. I will try and create something else soon and post away.
Oh and CPiotrowski....NO LAUGHING
