Hello,

I have lot of features / bodies in the PNT(Part Navigator Tree),and want to give unique name to all of them.
How best I can able to achieve this task?

Thanks,
Mathi K

If you set your Selection 'Type Filter' to 'Solid Body', perform a display 'Fit', then do a 'Select-All', place your cursor over any of the highlighted bodies, press MB3, select the 'Properties' item and then select the 'General' tab. Now enter a name such as 'Body-' and toggle ON the 'Add index to name' option and hit OK. Now each solid body in your model will be assigned a unique name using the sequence; 'Body-1', 'Body-2', Body-3', etc.

Hello John,

Thanks. But the PNT have all the old default names. The change should be reflected in the PNT too.

Thanks,
Mathi K

If you go to the Part Navigator and place your cursor over some 'white space', press MB3 and toggled OFF the 'Timestamp Order' item, you'll see the solid body names.

Hello Jhon,

Thanks.

Based on the methods requirement, the Timestamp Order should be in enabled condition.
But my actual work is,

I have 'n' no.of surfaces in the PNT,like

surface_01
surface_02
..........

I want them in PNT as

surface
surface
.......

Thanks,
Mathi K
