Hello guys, I was wondering about the removal of formwork and shoring. I look up on ACI 318:2019 and they only mention to look it up on ACI 347, and so I did and found this (image above)

Does this mean that if I have a beam with a 7 m span where live load > dead load, then the formwork and shoring should only be release after 21 days?

Thank you

If structural live load more than structural dead load ,formwork and shoring may be release after 14 days..
In addition , consider the following points ;

- Refer to foot note ,(Where forms may be removed without disturbing shores, use half of values shown,
but not less than 3 days.)
- Check with local codes, removal should be in compliance with local codes,
- make sure that the concrete has gained sufficient strength to support its weight and live loads
- If the forms and shoring also support formwork for above storey slab or beam soffits, the removal time
of the latter will govern.

Use it up, wear it out;
Make it do, or do without.
