Removing concrete from galvanized threaded bolts

Please would appreciate if anyone there know of how best to go about removing concrete that have 'glued' to threaded bars. The bars are galvanized and so i do not want to damage the coatings in removing the concrete. Any help would be greatly welcome. Thanks

We have wire brushed them with a stainless wire brush before without problems.
We have also forced the nuts down the rod and the concrete was pulverized without hurting the finish.

Thanks StoneCold, but when we tried wire brushing it was peeling off the galvanised coating in our case. I want to completely remove the concrete so i could NDT them. Some concrete just too 'stubborn' to go off?

If you are going to NDT them it is best to remove the galvanized layer and re-apply using a field applied galvanizing paint or coating.

I agree with metengr, NDT should be performed on the bare metal (steel) surface.
