To increase the reliability of electronic components, we are often operated at less than our absolute maximum ratings. Companies often use a 'Derating Policy' that specifies the various components (resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, ICs, processors, etc) and specifies which parameters (voltage, current, power, temperature etc) of these components are to be derated (reduced).

We need to know which parameters need to be derated and by how much for all commonly used electronic components. Thank you!
 
Suggestion: It is necessary to go item by item. In some instances, the parameter reduction results in less desirable performance. Some items are best to operate at rated parameters, e.g. electronic power supply would not function properly, if the input voltage was outside of the specified margin. The product manufacturers usually have application engineers who are supposed to recommend a proper set of parameters of their products to obtain the optimal reliability and life cycle.
