Dear Sir/s,
I need some help.

I am going to put in service some only Switchgears Panels in action.

I need to know howmuch Voltage I have to inject for power frequency 1 Min test?

These swirchgears was ideal for 5 years as a spare in separate room, Now just I installed.

Its 3.3 KV & 11 KV and 33 KV.

I understand that I have to inject 75% or 80% of the factory test voltage but now its too Old.....So I am worried that howmuch I have to inject?

If I inject only service voltage the is it OK?

Kindly provide your valueable suggestions.

Like with most questions regarding electrical testing, there are ANSI/IEEE standards that dictate the rules, or international standards depending on where you are and what you must conform to. Selecting a reduced test voltage due to worry over the age of the gear is not recommended. A test performed at normal operating voltage is no test.

The test voltage depends on the type of SG it is. The test should be done with AC voltage. A one minute AC power frequency withstand test is appropriate. I don't have the chart for your voltages but I am sure they are close to the standard voltage classes here (US). For the 3.3 kV it will probably be 14kVac, the level used for 4160 gear. Assuming the 15kV SG rating spec would apply to your 11kV, the test should be 27kVac and for the 33kV, it will probably be 60kVac.Check with you local standards for the exact voltage ratings of the gear you have.

Good Luck.
