Hi There,

I am trying to insert a table that I have put together in Excel into my drawing. I have managed to insert the table by doing Insert>Object>Create From File>Ticked the 'Link' Box.

By ticking this link box I was assuming that this would update the table in the drawing every time I made and saved a change in the original Excel document that is referenced to the table in the drawing?

But when I make a change, the change does not get reflected on the table in the drawing.

Can anyone help me please?

Thanks,

Callum

Hi,

I inadvertently discovered that one needs to save and close the Excel file before the update gets reflected in your drawing. However, this works just fine in Windows 7 but on my newer computer, I cannot perform the same function. Now I'm trying to figure out what makes the difference. [ponder]
