References on Transient Fluid Mechanics

I'm looking for any good references that deal with transient fluid mechanics (pneumatics in particular). Any texts will do, but I am particularly interested in more practical, industry related texts.

I'm dealing with several fluids problems with short time scales (< 1 sec) and small volumes (<100cc) that involve feeding and bleeding of air.

I appreciate any help.
