Hi Everyone,
Asking kind help from those who are experts in FEA modeling failure in plastics.
We are designing a part made from 30% glass-filled LCP. The part will distort under static load, and we're using FEA to identify how much part can distort before it fails
The application only involves one-time load, not cyclical load.
We understand their are a variety of yield criterion (such as Von Mises) but we are not sure which one best predicts the failure of 30% glass-filled LCP
Please kindly recommend a stress or strain criterion for using FEA to predict failure in part made from 30% glass-filled LCP
Thank you !
