I've just started working on a project which will be doing space planning using a significant number of 3D objects.
The computer which was purchased to handle the task is already starting to struggle when I've got all of the objects turned on, and I haven't even modeled a quarter of the total objects. I have a feeling that it is the computer's lack of a dedicated graphics card which is causing the bottleneck.
I have no idea what sort of graphics card to buy to help handle the load. Should I just get a standard video-gaming card, or is there another solution which would work better?
Checking the PC's stats shows it has 512MB of RAM and a 3.2GHz processor, if that helps any.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave
