Hello everybody,
I have an 20m vertical vessel (soaker) that needs to be founded ("fixed") on an elevated concrete table top with 4 corner columns(in a refinery environment).
The diameter of the vessel is 2200mm & the top of the concrete table @ 3m.The anchor circle abt 3m & the concrete top plan aprox. 3.50x3.50m.
The vessel will be fastened with anchors to allow for wind/ seismic uplilft.
The anchors (16 of them) are envisaged to need a minimum 800mm burial, that is our concrete slab will need to be of the order of 1m.
Lets say I need to take the tension via vertical rebar.
I am not sure how will I anchor this vertical rebar & where will the rebar tension go? Will it go via shear to the concrete columns (which are away from the anchor circle?)
Is it better to use a bent-bar (like the shear ones) to take the tension rather than a vertical one?
Does any body have a suitable rebar detail for such a matter?
