Hi, UOP recommends impregnate the catalyst of a Merox sweetening unit, like a Minalk, every two years. We've got this unit that's being running fine for about three years now and we're wondering whether a reimpregantion should be rescheduled. The management wants us to give an estimate of remaining life but I’m yet to find a literature reference that shows how to do that for this units. There’s no temperature profile, or DP changes, or anything like that. Any ideas? Thanks!

ask UOP - I noticed their after sales service is pretty good

I already tried that but they don't really have a monitoring system for these type of units. They just recommend a reimpregnation every two years, but our management isn't satisfied with that answer. None of our typical fixed bed monitoring tools work here because there's no temp profile or DP to check and we haven't seen any breakthrough yet.
