Hi,

I have been running MSUP random vibration and take the maximum stress against material strength. If the peak stress is higher than the yield limit, I wonder if I can use nominal stress like what I did in static analysis to compare with material strength?

Or it is supposed to do random vibration fatigue when one performs random vibration?

If you are dealing with fatigue, your risk of failure is determined by the peak stress and the allowable fatigue stress.
