I modeled a house with a sloped roof then i also put a 20psf live load, but when i run the analysis, the dead weight and live load in the roof didn't transfer to the beam connected to the slab. How can i do it right? I already meshed it since a etabs considered a slope slab as ramps. Do i need to define this as shell and not as membrane?

please help me
thank you very much

jenofstructures,
Please find attached the files named "slope3.e2k" and "slope3.$ET"
Go to [File > Import > ETABS .e2k Text File...] and the program should read the input from one of these two files.
I do not have permanent access to a computer having ETABS installed, therefore I used whatever version was available.
I remember having reported at one point to CSI technical support that, in ETABS, the ramps do not transfer the gravitational loads to the beams. Their advice was to use SAP2000. This was for earlier version of ETABS (I believe 9.1), but I noticed that in version 9.4 this problem was absent. So, if you upgrade, it is likely that ETABS will handle the ramp issue by itself.
