i want to have a multilayer block manufactured. it will be composed of 2 different alternating metals, each thickness of tens of nanometers. the finished block would be about 1" x 1" x 0.5".

for those that can provide this manufacturing service, how much probably would they charge for it? i just don't wanna be sending the request one by one then receiving obscene (at least for my budget) quotes.

Have to ask - what would be an obscene quote in this case?
Building a .5" thick part out of films in the tens of nanometers? Sounds expensive no matter what.

I think the only practical method would be through folding a forging, like how gold leaf, some sword blades, and pastry dough is made.

do you even know, how small is a nanometer with regards to 1cm?
what are you trying to make and why are you trying to make it like that (two metals)?

@cloa - Interesting, I haven't seen these before. Speculating that he wanted to make a reactive block rather than foil?
