I have started a new Job part of which involves upgrading a HVAC system, I have never been involved in HVAC systems before and I need to find an "idiots" guide to HAVC systems to get me up to speed, dose anyone know of a good website or could advise on a good book?

I am particularly in need of information to do with tying it into a fire and gas system

Here are a list of links that could be useful. You've motivated me to complete my novel (only at the conception stage right now) 'HVAC&R for Dummies (and Architects)'

Check out:

(I recommend becomming a member of ASHRAE if you continue in the HVAC field)

There are a ton of links out there. A google search will yield more. Best of luck.

The ashrae manuals can provide plenty of info, specificly Fundamentals

- you'll get an earful if you come off too arrogant, but you wouldn't be here if you were
