I need to approximate a cost for an undergroung concrete structure. I have all the dimensions. Does anyone know a quick method that will estimate to TOTAL cost including construction, labor, ect. Krausa

You need to use GUIDE-LINES.
(1) Guide-Line is the % of each concrete phase (forms, steel, concrete, scafold, etc).
If you have in your hands a similar budget, found the percents % of each phase.
(2) You need to stand a REAL underground concrete Unit Price UP$ today used. See magazines tables (your region).
(3) Your total concrete volume TCV guive you the Total Price: TP = TCV x UP$ = TC (TC means Total Cost).
(4) Use then each percent % and you obtain the Price of each Phase. Imagine you adopt 20% of steel reinforcement, then: Steel Cost = 0.20 x TC is the steel reinforcement cost.
(5) You Work only with COSTS then you need to include the General Expenses Cost GEC (indirect Costs, Tax, etc).

We have completed about 20 now, they run about $30 to $40 dollars per square foot, completed and backfilled shell only.
