Hello,

I am doing shaft modelling,

I wonder what is 2x45 degreex0.5 and m60x1.5 mean? I have
circled them in red colour.

And what is the height for the relief on the shaft?
I dint see any indication of height of relief on the
shaft.

Thank you.

2 x 45 deg X 0.5 could mean a Chamfer / Setback of 0.5 mm
angled at 45 deg; 2 nos. One at the marked location and
the other at the opposite end. This is not the standard
practice.
M60 x 1.5 means: Metric thread to designation M60 (60mm
OD)
with a pitch of 1.5mm. Generally pitch is mentioned for
Fine pitch threads.
Generally depth of relief is not stated in a drawing to
reduce the clutter. You may consider a dimension of 0.2
to
0.5mm deep. However, standards for relief exists.

With respect, I would suggest that you take an engineering course or ask your supervisor for explanations of engineering basics. I hope nobody has asked you to make this.

anyway M60 x1.5 is a metric thread on 60 dia shaft with 1.5 pitch
2 x 45 X0.5 is saying there are two chamfers with a 45 degree cut 0.5 long, the draftsman is leaving it up to you to find the other one, I expect its at the other end of the shaft.

THank you

i expect so, although it looks bigger thatm 0.5

at the shaft end rite?

Is it using the round tool or chamber tool to create the
relief?

Thank you.
I appreciate all the helps.
