Query in Mechanical Engineering Design book

Hi all,

I am using Mechancial Engineering Design by Shigley/Mischke Sixth Edition. I noticed on page 367, there is an equation with the parameter "Su" ('S' subscript 'u'), however, I can not find the definition of "Su". Is this supposed to be the same as "Su" ('S' subscript 'ut' which is ultimate tensile strength?
