Is there anyway to carry out POA (nonlinear static analysis) in SAP2000 for shell elements? I know the procedure for frame elements but what about for case of shell elements such as slab of bridge. For example, if I want to load to failure the bridge deck that is made of shell elements, how may I have the ultimate load-displacement curve?
Also:
-Do we need to have nonlinear static dead load case prior to running pushover load case? If yes, then we need to change the mass source as well?
-Is the effect of reinforcement modelled in section designer considered for pushover?
