Are these part of a horizontal diaphragm? Are there any AHU's? Calculations? Maybe.
 
Thanks for the reply BUGGAR....,,Its not a AHU unit.....,,, & also its not a part of Horizontal Diaphragm......its a Purlin on the roof of Bulk Material Handling Conveyor Tower
 
Maybe you should hire a structural engineer who will design that :)
 
Purlin cleat details such as cleat thickness, width, height and bolt centres are typically within the purlin manufacturers design tables (they are in Australia anyway). If these should be sufficient for simple vertical loads.

You are correct, but only in countries like Australia where cold formed purlins are a commodity item, rather than individually designed.

But the OP's picture shows a hot rolled channel being used as a purlin. If he knows what channel to use, he should be able to design the connections.
