For any pump manufactures or code writers out there, when are we going to get sensible pump nozzle loads for seismic design?
I understand current nozzle load limits are limited by the pump frame stiffness and are to stop operating loads putting the pump out of alignment.
For seismic loads we do not care if the pump losses alignment. The pump body needs to contain pressure. These loads I would expect to much higher than the operating load limits above.
