This evening while searching for data on a particular Grundfos pump, I can across this pump hand book on the Grundfos site. Having had a quick look thru the first 20 odd pages I would recommend it to anyone looking to better understand pumps, the various configurations, styles and types.

It is very well put together in simple language and worth bookmarking for reference or to point anyone looking for explanations on the finer points of pump operation to this information.

The information can be applied to any pump brand - not just Grundfos.

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)

Thanks Artisi, nice link. Simple enough even for me to follow most of it. [wink]

An excellent overview of pumps. I had to laugh out loud when I saw the graph of the properties of natrium chloride.

Useful link, Thanks Artisi.
