I use Aspen Plus 11.1 and Dynamisc 11.1. I was just wondering if is there someone who have used Aspen Dynamics for PSV’s simulations. My problem is that a PSV valve opens in 0.015% just after added it to a flowsheet before dynamic simulation is ran. The result is that just after starting dynamic simulation I have mass flow through PSV (even if pressure in the vessel doesn’t reach desired PSV set pressure) and finally vessel depressurizes without achieving PSV set pressure! Have you calculated PSV’s properly on your computers? I have totally no idea what is wrong!
