PSV inlet test requirements

Anyone have any thoughts on the inlet testing requirements (or lack of) on the installation of a threaded PSV? Obviously cannot have a code pressure test to prove the connection however are there any service test requirements that I don't know of or just thread it in and walk away?

There is commonly a leak test at a suitable pressure below design to check such connections. There is also commonly a test set up where you can do each one separate to the main pipe using the isolation valve.

And plenty of PTFE tape....

I guess I was just looking for something in the code that has a more clear direction. During turnarounds there are many PSV's that are replaced with either new or overhauled, how are we expected to test the inlet connection? Yes I agree that a leak check should be done upon start up but this joint test will only be at operational pressure and never see a "code pressure test"

I would use a thread gauge to test both vessel inlet and prv connection.
