We have a project to install some underground distribution in a transmission right of way. The concern is with lightning. We're in a moderate lightning area and our transmission structures use buried counterpoise to direct the lightning to ground.
Are there any guidelines out there about how close to the counterpoise that the distribution circuit can be buried? The concern is you'd be directing lightning close to the distribution circuit.
Any suggestions?
