Projects worked on by Industrial Engineers to become a Prof. Engineer 1

I would like to find out typical projects that Industrial Engineers have worked on or need to work on in order to gain work experience credit for Professional Engineering status.

From what I can tell, so long as you work for a licensed PE you will gain the appropriate experience. The problem I've found is that there aren't a lot of licensed industrial PE's around.

Many states do require that the work for your license be supervised by a PE. Check your local state requirements. In some cases you may be able to use customers and/or vendors for PE letters of support.<br>

They are resources for information on contacting state societies. Many states are looking into the need to require a PE license for industry. It is good to see people like yourself pursue the PE license and encourge the need for engineering professionalism in industry. Talk to your enployeer about your needs and license goals.<br>

I would go to the ppi2pass.com site and look at their FAQ section.<br>But as posted above, the best source of licensing requirements is the State Board where you intend to get your license. Most state engineering boards know that most IEs don't work for PEs.&nbsp;&nbsp;In general, the boards want to see some number of PEs (usually 5 or more) as references along with a reference from the people you have worked for.
