I created a 3D curve from an equation. Then, I created the 2 reference curves (a projection onto the xy and xz places). I created a set of datum points on one of these reference curves. Is there a way for me to find the corresponding point on the 3D curve?

Pro/ENGINEER 2001 or earlier?

It can be done with a pair of features. Create an plane through the reference point and parallel to the yz plane. This plane will intersect the 3D curve. Finally, create a datum point using curve x surf option.
